Growing up in a small town in Eastern Europe, I have always had a fascination with nature. Since I was a small girl, I would love to play outdoors, walk through the forests and admire the beautiful shape and pattern found in mother nature. Today nature is one of my biggest inspirations for my work. As I grew older I explored many different artistic mediums such as painting and pottery. I then went to school and studied graphic design which taught me how to view the world differently. From here, I began experimenting with material arts and jewellery making and this is when I felt my true passion come to life.
Upon realizing this, I chose to study jewellery design and metalsmithing at George Brown College to further grow my expertise in this area. My work with metals began to progress and I naturally became more comfortable with the techniques I was learning. Many of my earlier pieces have a natural feel resembling pebbles, leaves, and nests. Most of my work is really about playing with form and structure. Nature has always inspired me, and being Eco-conscious is of the utmost importance to me.
I always strive to create pieces that can be loved and cherished for many years, and hope to inspire others to move away from a disposable lifestyle and more towards intimate handmade items.
